Bella Brenner
Product Specialist and Business Development
Bella joined Altum in May 2013 and is the Product Specialist and Business Development Director for the firm. Prior to joining Altum, Bella worked as the Risk Manager of the Managed Account Platform at Gottex Fund Management, a provider of sophisticated risk transparency and reporting solutions across a broad range of instruments. Prior to joining Gottex, she was the portfolio and risk manager for Stillwater Capital Partners' fund of funds, managing hedge fund manager due diligence and manager selection. Bella started her
career at Credit Suisse in fixed income and asset backed securities research and has traded structured credit products at Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, and Salomon Smith Barney. Bella obtained an MBA in Finance from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center.
James Janowski
Investor Relations
James joined Altum in April 2016 and is responsible for investor relations and supporting the business development effort. Prior to Altum, he was an Assistant Vice President at Morgan Stanley 2011-2015 within the Alternative Investments Group, in sales and investor relations, collaborating with third party asset managers and the firm’s top producing wealth advisors to incorporate alternative investment allocations into institutional, high net worth, and ultra-high net worth individual portfolios. James started his
career in 2008 as an Associate to the General Partner of Hambletonian Partners, L.P., a fundamental long/short equity fund in New York. In 2010, James joined Citi Alternative Investments, a division of Smith Barney, providing the firm’s private bankers and wealth advisors with middle office support, as a product lead Investor Services Associate. James obtained a BS degree in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.
Lauren Madden
Business Development
Lauren joined Altum in March of 2025 and is responsible for marketing the firm’s investment offerings and developing and managing relationships with prospective investors. Most recently, she was the Head of Investor Relations at Getaround, a car sharing platform, where she managed the quarterly earnings process, wrote and published press releases, and secured analyst coverage for the firm’s stock. Previously, Lauren was the Director of Investor Relations at Financial Profiles, a strategic communications firm.
Additionally, she has done financial consulting for startups, where she raised capital from venture capitalists and angel investors and built their financial models. She began her career in Institutional Equity Sales at KeyBanc, Chardan, and Marwood Group. Lauren obtained an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Venture Management from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Skidmore College.
