Bella Brenner
Product Specialist and Business Development Director
Bella joined Altum in May 2013 and is the Product Specialist and Marketing Director for the firm. Prior to joining Altum, Bella worked as the Risk Manager of the Managed Account Platform at Gottex Fund Management, a provider of sophisticated risk transparency and reporting solutions across a broad range of instruments. Prior to joining Gottex, she was the portfolio and risk manager for Stillwater Capital Partners' fund of funds, managing hedge fund manager due diligence and manager selection. Bella started her
career at Credit Suisse in fixed income and asset backed securities research and has traded structured credit products at Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, and Salomon Smith Barney. Bella obtained an MBA in Finance from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center.
James Janowski
Investor Relations Director
James joined Altum in April 2016 and is responsible for investor relations and supporting the business development effort. Prior to Altum, he was an Assistant Vice President at Morgan Stanley 2011-2015 within the Alternative Investments Group, in sales and investor relations, collaborating with third party asset managers and the firm’s top producing wealth advisors to incorporate alternative investment allocations into institutional, high net worth, and ultra-high net worth individual portfolios. James started his
career in 2008 as an Associate to the General Partner of Hambletonian Partners, L.P., a fundamental long/short equity fund in New York. In 2010, James joined Citi Alternative Investments, a division of Smith Barney, providing the firm’s private bankers and wealth advisors with middle office support, as a product lead Investor Services Associate. James obtained a BS degree in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.
Maria Savostyanova
Business Development Director
Maria joined Altum in January 2026 as Business Development Director. She brings over a decade of experience in asset management, specialising in capital raising, investor relations and client solutions across alternative credit and private markets strategies. Prior to Altum, Maria was Vice President of Client Solutions at Orchard Global from 2022 to 2025, a $9bn alternative credit manager focused on SRT, CLO and special situations lending strategies, where she was responsible for investor coverage and product
solutions across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Previously, she held client-facing roles at Patrizia AG and Russell Investments. Maria began her career at the Central Bank of Russia. She graduated with First Class Honours from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. She also earned an MA in Business Management with Distinction from Middlesex University in the UK.
